The Position

We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic individual to work as an Assistant Marketing Executive.  Reporting to the Marketing Manager and providing support to the Marketing Team, the successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and collating data for insight presentations, whilst supporting requests from internal stakeholders and customers.  This is a fantastic starting opportunity for those who want to begin a career in Marketing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Gather market research information for presentations by using websites and subscription-based data resources provided by market research agency portals.
  • Present to customers and internal stakeholders when required.
  • Support the wider business functions such as R&D and Sales by providing them with insight and presentations.
  • Respond to ad hoc requests from Sales and our customers.
  • Collate regular newsletters based on information in the retail and foodservice sectors.
  • Create marketing collateral such as food menus, booklets, mood boards etc. as and when required to support customer requests.
  • Support targeted promotional activities.
  • Implement B2B marketing activities, including email campaigns and exhibitions.
  • Develop and maintain a wider knowledge of the food industry and key competitors to our business.
  • Ensure all data used is accurate and research sources cited.
  • General duties – data collection for retail and foodservice analysis, organising events, maintain the marketing mailing list, maintain promotional items inventory and stock levels, printing and binding, updating industry events calendar etc.

Person Specification

Successful candidates should hold a relevant degree level qualification.  Having good interpersonal skills, candidates must be organised with the ability to multi-task, whilst remaining detail oriented with good analytic skills.  Candidates should have good working knowledge of all Microsoft packages and hold a full driving licence.  Furthermore, holding a second language would be advantageous.

Hours of work

This is a full time position, working Monday to Friday 8.30am – 5pm, however some flexibility is required.
