Newly Weds Foods Corby
Based on Manton Road, Newly Weds Foods has been operational in Corby since 2002. The site is proud to be the only industrial ingredients manufacturer in Europe with a unique process that creates authentic Japanese “Panko” style breadcrumb. The team in Corby is expanding as we take on more business, so we have several opportunities at this location.
The Position
Newly Weds® Foods Ltd is looking to recruit a full time and permanent Team Leader to join our experienced and dedicated team at our site in Corby on our 12 hour rotational night shift.
The role will include helping and supporting the team as well as mixing, packing, stacking and material handling of our products. This is a physically demanding role and involved consistently lifting bags, throughout the shift, that weigh up to 25kgs.
What does it involve?
- To manage, develop and coordinate the site and staffing at during peak production times
- To resolve scheduling issues and liaise with the Plant Management regarding any issues
- To coordinate the day to day Health and Safety requirements of the site and conduct risk assessments and accident investigations as required.
- To produce, pack and stack blended and baked breadcrumb products
- Ensure a quality process throughout from the product, to the packaging, to adhering to corporate quality standards;
- Ensure relevant paperwork is completed on time, and suggest improvements where applicable;
- Adhere to corporate sanitation standards at all times;
- Adhere to NWF health and safety policy, reporting any near misses or issues observed relating to quality, safety, sanitation, machinery or throughput to the Department Manager;
What skills will you need?
- Previous Team Leader experience;
- Good organisation and communication skills;
- Literate and numerate;
- Physically fit (the role involves consistently lifting, throughout the shift, that weigh up to 25kg)
- Health and Safety management experience – IOSH (desirable)
- Production scheduling experience (desirable)
- Ability to problem solve;
- Computer literate;

Terms and conditions include:
Salary – £44,040.11 per annum (inclusive of 33% shift allowance)
Location – Newly Weds Foods, Corby
Working hours / pattern – 42 hours average a week over a 12 hour rotational day shift
Pension – 3% paid via salary sacrifice, saving you tax and NI contributions
Annual Salary Reviews – an annual pay review is conducted every January
