Newly Weds Foods’ employees donated 125 selection boxes and a range of raffle prizes to Ossett Children’s Community Christmas Party, which took place on Saturday 8th December.
The local event was started seven years ago with the aim of bringing children and families together during the festive season, for a fun afternoon including face painting, a disco and party games.
It’s organised by parent volunteers, and while ticket sales cover some of the costs, they rely on fundraising during the rest of the year and local business support to run the event. Newly Weds Foods were delighted to donate the selection boxes which are then wrapped and given to the children as a gift from Santa!
Faye Cunningham from the Marketing team said, “It’s great for us to support local charities and at this time of year bring some festive cheer to the local community.”
